Golden Hour Senior Center provides critical support services for senior citizens 60 years and older, who live in the city of Green River and surrounding communities. Golden Hour provides nutritional lunches to an average 140 seniors and caregivers every day, Monday through Friday, for the low cost of $4.00 per meal for seniors, non senior under 60 years $7.00. Of these, meals each day are delivered to home-bound seniors through our Home Delivered Meals Program. The Home Delivered Meals Program is made possible from volunteer delivery drivers, many of whom are seniors themselves. Golden Hour Senior Center assists seniors with resolving issues and barriers that in turn, helps them remain in their homes and be independent. We do this by providing a culture of socialization and activities to keep seniors involved in the community and develop long-lasting friendships and social networks. Each day we have a variety of activities such as: billiards, Wii Bowling, chair exercises, Zumba Gold, jam sessions, games, puzzles, trivia questions, word searches, Bingo, Poker, Bridge, Pinochle, Bunco, 31, various crafts.
Every senior who walks in our door is offered support and an opportunity to keep active, educated, healthy, and informed.
